We just want to be with people.

A community for connection, curiosity, & care.

Yeah. These are stock photos.

But they're great. We like them.

OUR VISION

What if spiritual community wasn't about having all the answers, but about being together, being curious, and giving a shit about things that matter.

Just real people, genuine connection, and authentic conversation.

Yep. More Stock Photos. :)

TO BE CLEAR

Being With LA is about connection. Not church.

Being With LA is about community-weaving. Full stop.

  • We do talk about spirituality and faith. We think everyone is on a spiritual journey. We want to walk together. Not lead you somewhere.

  • It's about discovery, not dogma; about conversation, not conversion.

  • Whether you go to a church or hate church, are actively seeking a spiritual path or just curious about what spirituality means for you, you're chill.

  • No agendas, no pressure – just casual conversation that goes deep, navigating big questions together.

Come as you are. No matter who you are, who you love, how you identify, you're welcome. Bring your doubts, your joy, your stories, and your full self.

We took this one!

jk. You should know by now.

Stock photo. Real Smile.

Being With LA is proudly supported by a church, but it's not run by the church. It's run by the community who finds love, support, and care through this experience.

At the heart of Being With LA are four values:

  • Embracing Presence: Showing we value each other through mindful attention and genuine curiosity.

  • Celebrating Mystery: Exploring life's contours with openness and intention - not trying to solve problems but supporting one another in discovery.

  • Committed Partnership: We share to be heard,  listen to demonstrate care, and show up for each other because that's what community does.

  • Freakin' Joy: Being together is nice. Community can make the good things feel even greater and the bad feel easier.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

A New Approach. But Not Really.

At Being With LA, we're really just renewing some ancient ways of building spiritual community and engaging life's biggest questions.

  • We believe that the future of faith and spirituality will embrace a mosaic of perspectives.

  • While our roots are planted in the Christian tradition, as inspired by the Episcopal Church and its creeds, our branches reach out in every direction, recognizing light from various sources.

  • We honor our heritage without losing sight of our inclusive vision.

  • Can we say this enough? Being together, sharing stories, and caring about each other is what we're all about!
